Sponsorship Policy
How we label sponsorships, protect editorial independence, and define what we will not run — so partners and readers share the same rules.
Purpose
LoudDemand accepts limited sponsorship and partnership placements that help fund the desk without turning the publication into a billboard. This policy sets labeling, independence, content quality, and category rules for partners and for the operators who read us.
Placement types and commercial process live on Advertise. Editorial standards for non-sponsored work live in theeditorial policy. Compensated product links are covered by theaffiliate disclosure.
Labeling
Sponsored or partner units are labeled “Sponsored,” “Partner,” or equally clear language. Labels must be visible at a glance — not only in a distant footer or hover state. We do not run native ads that imitate unlabeled editorial cards, bylines, or research presentations.
- Sponsor modules are designed to look distinct from editorial list and article cards
- Reserved dimensions reduce layout shift and protect Core Web Vitals
- Newsletter sponsorships, when offered, carry clear sponsorship labels in the issue and any archive presentation
- Research underwriting, if any, discloses the funder without granting control of findings or headline conclusions
Editorial independence
Sponsors do not control editorial conclusions, topic selection for independent coverage, rankings, or review verdicts. Paying for a placement is not purchasing an endorsement, a “best of” slot, or the right to rewrite competitor framing.
In particular:
- We do not sell unlabeled editorial endorsements
- Sponsored content must remain useful and factual for B2B demand operators
- Factual corrections about a sponsor’s product may be accepted; scripted praise or soft-focus claims that we cannot stand behind are not
- Independent articles, reviews, and research remain subject to theeditorial policy even when the same brand also sponsors elsewhere
What partners can expect
- Clear inventory options when a package is open (see Advertise)
- Honest discussion of audience fit: demand gen, search/AI visibility, content systems, lead gen, GTM, automation, measurement
- Production guidelines for creative, copy length, and tracking parameters
- Rates and availability shared when traffic and inventory support a given package
- The right to decline or pause a placement if it fails labeling, quality, or category rules
What readers can expect
- Sponsored units are marked and visually distinct from desk editorial
- No disguised native ads sold as independent analysis
- Affiliate links on tool pages, when present, are disclosed under theaffiliate disclosure — a separate mechanism from sponsorship
- Related services from LoudScale, when promoted, are disclosed; see relationship language onAbout and commercial CTAs
Content and creative standards
Sponsored materials should:
- State the offer or value proposition without fabricated metrics or invented customer logos
- Avoid misleading urgency, bait-and-switch claims, or vague “#1 platform” language we cannot verify
- Respect accessibility: readable contrast, text alternatives for essential images, keyboard-safe embeds
- Avoid scripts or trackers that degrade performance or privacy beyond agreed placement terms
We may request revisions or reject creative that conflicts with this policy or with the trust of the desk.
Prohibited and restricted categories
Final acceptance decisions rest with LoudDemand. We decline categories that conflict with audience trust, legal risk, or our ability to evaluate claims responsibly. Examples include (non-exhaustive):
- Deceptive financial schemes, get-rich-quick funnels, or undisclosed high-risk investment pitches
- Malware, phishing, unauthorized data scraping tools, or products designed for abuse
- Hate, harassment, or content that targets protected groups
- Adult sexual content and other categories inappropriate for a B2B operator publication
- Products or claims we cannot responsibly evaluate or that require regulated advice we do not provide
Restricted categories may be considered case by case with extra disclosure and stricter creative review. We are not obligated to accept any sponsor.
Inventory and commercial process
Typical placement types may include homepage or topic desk sponsorship, newsletter primary or classified units, research underwriting, article-adjacent sponsor cards where allowed, and tool launch spotlights. Exact packages change with capacity.
See Advertise for current framing of inventory. Rates are shared when traffic and inventory are ready for a given package. Requests should include brand, audience fit, preferred placements, and timing.
Relationship to LoudScale
LoudDemand and LoudScale are related. LoudDemand is the editorial publication; LoudScale delivers audits, strategy, implementation, and managed demand-generation programs.
LoudScale may appear in commercial CTAs on the site. Those CTAs are not third-party “Sponsored” placements in the media-kit sense; they are related-company promotions and should remain clearly commercial. They do not authorize unlabeled product endorsements of other vendors.
Affiliate vs sponsorship
Sponsorship is paid placement or underwriting with explicit sponsor/partner labeling. Affiliate relationships pay a commission when a reader converts through a referral link; they require affiliate disclosure and appropriate link attributes, not necessarily a “Sponsored” unit. Both can exist on the same site; neither buys an unlabeled editorial verdict.
